My mother is an educated and highly talented woman, but the talent for baking somehow skipped her.
So, while other mothers baked elaborate multi-layered cream cakes, she would buy a simple chocolate cake. However, she would then transform the plain cake by sticking in lollipops, decorating it with gummy bears, gummy snakes, chewing gum, and other tempting surprises. She even branded it as the “Enchanted Forest Cake” or something along those lines. As a result, all the kids would always wait for and want my cake. That was her added value. Her unique and creative twist.
Recently, with AI tools like ChatGPT and the like, I’m seeing a lot of posts that clearly lack any real value beyond a copy-paste from the chat. No added value, no insights from the writer, no interesting anecdotes… no creativity. Just nothing. And, of course, they barely get any comments or likes because they’re boring. Your audience is made up of busy people bombarded with information. They’re exposed to thousands (yes, thousands) of posts every day. So, if you want them to stop scrolling, read your post, engage with it, and like it – you must offer real value. Using AI is perfectly fine, even recommended, but as an aid.
Like the base of the enchanted cake. Take what the chat writes and add your twist, your unique perspective, that extra something. The wow factor.
